Circuit vélo en liberté de Blois à Tours

The Loire à Vélo cycle route allows you to discover all the beauties of the last wild river in Europe.
Throughout the route, you will flirt with the Loire, its banks and islands, its hillside vineyards, its typical towns and villages and of course its many castles.

Day 1:

Blois / Chambord / Blois (42 km)
You arrive in Blois by your own means where we will wait for you at the starting point in order to give you your bikes, your travel file and all the information you will need for your tour.
For this first day, go through fields and woods and discover the famous Château de Chambord. Listed on the list of historic monuments, it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1981. You return to Blois, crossing the vineyards and typical Blésois villages.

Day 2:

Blois / Chaumont-sur-Loire / Amboise (43 km)
From Blois you follow the Loire towards the castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire, an impressive fortress which dominates the river.
You continue to cycle along the Loire route, which this time follows the hillside to reach the Royal City of Amboise, which houses the Château de François 1er as well as Clos Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci’s last home.

Day 3:

Amboise / Chenonceaux / Amboise (46 km)

After leaving Amboise, you will follow a very pretty cycle route through woods and vineyards to the Château de Chenonceau: built on the Cher, whose waters reflect the unique beauty of its Renaissance architecture, the Château de Chenonceau is certainly the flagship of the region. Loire valley. You return to Amboise by the same route.

Day 4:

Amboise / Tours (30 km)

Today you take the “Loire à Vélo” route again, which you will follow until Tours. A few pedal strokes through the vines and you reach Montlouis-sur-Loire where you can admire the view over the Loire Valley. Take the opportunity to visit the cellar. You then continue through the woods along the Loire to Tours. Discover the medieval heart of the city and linger at the Guinguette by the water.
You leave the bikes at our arrival point in Tours and leave on your own. Tours train station is a few meters away.
